Metal fiber laser tube cutting machine mixes pumping material into optical fiber, and after combining with laser beam from a specific wavelength, the optical fiber generates laser beam, which is focused on the surface of the workpiece, and the area of ​​the light spot on the irradiated workpiece is locally etched, thereby completing the cutting. It is a high-tech equipment integrating laser technology, CNC technology, and mechanical technology.

Laser generation system

It is mainly composed of fiber laser, cooling system, etc. Fiber laser produces a high energy density laser beam, which is the energy source for cutting. The cooling system ensures that the laser works at a stable temperature to ensure its performance and life.

Mechanical transmission system

Usually includes bed, guide rail, lead screw, servo motor, chuck device, etc. The bed is generally designed as a horizontal bed, with an integral welded structure, which is thick and stable, and will not deform after long-term use1. The guide rail, lead screw and servo motor cooperate to achieve precise movement of the cutting head and ensure cutting accuracy. The chuck device is used to clamp the pipe. Common designs include double chuck or triple chuck, which can realize automatic centering and quick clamping of the pipe, and some can also correct the bending of the pipe.

CNC system

It is the control core of the equipment. Through programming or importing graphic files, it can accurately control the coordinated work of the laser generation system and the mechanical transmission system. The operator can set cutting parameters such as laser power, cutting speed, pulse frequency, etc. on the human-computer interaction interface, and can also perform automatic edge finding, automatic typesetting and other operations.

Assistance Systems

It includes air blowing system, discharge system, etc. The air blowing system sprays high-pressure gas, such as oxygen and nitrogen, into the cutting area to help remove slag and improve cutting quality and speed. The discharge system is responsible for collecting and discharging waste and smoke generated during the cutting process.

High cutting accuracy

High-precision transmission components and advanced CNC systems are used, with high positioning accuracy and repeatability. For example, the positioning accuracy of some equipment can reach ±0.05mm/m, and the repeatability accuracy can reach ±0.03mm/m. The cutting slit width is small, which can achieve fine cutting, smooth incision, small heat-affected zone, and few burrs.

Fast cutting speed

Fiber lasers have good beam quality and high energy density, which can quickly melt and vaporize metal materials. Combined with a high-speed mechanical transmission system, they can achieve higher cutting speeds and improve production efficiency.

Strong processing flexibility

It can cut pipes of various shapes, such as round pipes, square pipes, oval pipes, special-shaped pipes, etc. The diameter range of the pipes that can be processed is usually around 10mm - 320mm, and the length is around 6500mm - 9500mm, which can meet the processing needs of pipes of different specifications.

Wide range of applicable materials

It can cut various metal pipes such as stainless steel, carbon steel, alloy steel, galvanized steel, iron, copper, aluminum, etc. Lasers of different powers are suitable for cutting pipes of different thicknesses. Generally speaking, low-power lasers are suitable for cutting thin-walled pipes, and high-power lasers can be used to cut thick-walled pipes.
